I am sure some of you are wondering, “Why is Rick so passionate about VA loans?” Well I’ll tell you. I am a military brat. I was born overseas in Bangkok, Thailand in 1969 during the Vietnam War. My father, LTC Edward T Elmendorf Jr, USAF, Retired, was an Air Force pilot stationed in Bangkok when I came into the world. He had such a great military career and loved every minute of it. When people would thank him for his service, he would reply "No, no, thank you for the most amazing 20 years of my life. It was my joy and honor to serve!"I inherited my drive for excellence from my Dad. An outgoing, over the top, must be done right with the highest set of morals type of guy. He influenced, encouraged and challenged me to be the man I am today. And that is why I am so proud to serve the great men and women of our military.
